Tithes and Generosity: Give With Clarity and Gratitude
Generosity can be planned instead of pressured. A thoughtful giving practice considers your convictions, household responsibilities, and the organizations or people you want to support. It should never depend on promises of guaranteed financial return.
Build a sustainable giving plan
Review your income and essential commitments, then choose an amount or percentage that you can give consistently. Include giving as a line in the budget so it becomes intentional. When a special need arises, decide what you can offer without putting housing, food, or necessary debt payments at risk.
Evaluate where your support goes
Ask clear questions about a charity or ministry's mission, leadership, and use of funds. Keep records of gifts when needed for taxes. Generosity is strongest when it is paired with truthfulness, gratitude, and respect for the dignity of the recipient.
