Trust & transparency
Editorial Policy
The Money North Chronicle exists to help Christian families in the United States and Canada make wiser financial decisions through practical education, useful tools, and biblical stewardship principles.
Our editorial mission
We publish practical, plain-language financial education for households that want clarity without hype. Biblical passages may shape the moral lens of an article, but they do not replace careful, current financial information or a reader’s own responsibility to seek qualified help when needed.
How topics are chosen
Topics are selected for usefulness to households: budgeting, saving, debt, housing, investing, generosity, family conversations, and related questions. We prioritize topics that can be explained responsibly with available sources and avoid publishing a subject just because it is popular or alarming.
Research and verification
When a topic requires facts that can change, we aim to consult primary and official sources first—such as government agencies, public regulators, and source documents. We distinguish between source-supported information, examples, and opinion. We do not knowingly invent statistics, testimonials, product results, prices, returns, or claims of professional review.
Financial rules can vary by country, province or state, account, lender, and time. Readers should follow the source links, check current official guidance, and confirm details with a qualified professional where appropriate.
Updates and corrections
We review pages when material information changes or a credible concern is raised. A substantive correction may change the page’s displayed update date and can include a note explaining the correction when that context helps readers. Read our Corrections Policy for the reporting process.
Education is not individualized advice
Money North provides general educational content. It does not know a reader’s complete circumstances and does not provide personalized financial, investment, tax, legal, insurance, credit, or mortgage advice. Calculator results are illustrations based on the inputs and assumptions shown, not quotes, forecasts, or recommendations.
Conflicts, affiliates, and sponsorships
Commercial relationships can create incentives, so we disclose qualifying affiliate relationships and sponsored content clearly when they exist. We may receive a commission from eligible links in the future; see the Affiliate Disclosure. Sponsored material, if published, will be identified as sponsored. We do not represent that an advertiser, affiliate, or sponsor has reviewed or approved editorial content unless that is explicitly stated.
How AI may be used
Technology may assist with research organization, drafting, formatting, or quality checks. It is not treated as a source of facts. Before publication, the editor remains responsible for reviewing the final page against available sources and this policy. We do not claim that a licensed professional has reviewed content unless that review actually occurred.
Who publishes this site
The Money North Chronicle is published and edited by Wellington Prado. This policy does not imply a larger newsroom or a review team that does not exist.
